Description

Siemtcoat® SF311MR

Silicone Release Coating for High-Speed Coating Machine, also a Breakthrough Solution for Low-cost Paper Production

Siemtcoat® SF311MR, a solventless silicone release coating, designed for Glassine ect.substrate coatings by high-speed coating machine. Also it is a revolutionary solution for low-cost paper permeability issues. Affordable papers in manufacturing often suffer from multiple permeability points, causing uneven coating and poor performance, which bottleneck production efficiency and quality. Addressing this, Siemtcoat® SF311MR stands out with superior performance, making it the optimal choice for refining paper permeability and maximizing coating coverage. This advanced coating boosts production efficiency, cuts material waste, and, with its solvent-free formula, offers significant environmental advantages, making it the top choice for large-scale manufacturing.

General

A three-component solventless system, specially designed for Glassine, low-cost paper ect. substrate coatings.

We recommend the following formulas:

For Glassine ect.substrate coatings by High-Speed Coating Machine

Siemtcoat® SF311MR-Base Polymer

Siemtcoat® 8982-Crosslinker

Siemtcoat® 5000-Catalyst

For Low-cost Paper Production

Siemtcoat® SF311MR-Base Polymer

Siemtcoat® 8118-Crosslinker

Siemtcoat® 5000-Catalyst

Application

Siemtcoat® SF311MR is specially designed for Glassine, low-cost paper ect. substrate coatings. The dosage of each component should be adjusted based on specific process conditions and application requirements. After thoroughly mixing the components, apply the coating to the substrate surface for curing to achieve the target release profile.

Advantage

Efficient Permeability Control

Low misting with high speed

Fast curing with good curing property, such as low silicone migration.

Flatter release profle at different peeling speed

Long bath life and good anchorage performance with additives

Suitable for in-line and off-line coating

Suitable for various adhesive systems

Processing

When applying Siemtcoat® SF311MR into the Siemtcoat system, please strictly adhere to the following mixing procedure:

  1.  Weigh the base polymer Siemtcoat® SF311MR---XX parts.
  2.  Weighthe crosslinker Siemtcoat® 8982/8118---XX
  3.  Add the weighed crosslinker and thoroughly mix to ensure complete dispersion.
  4.  Weigh the catalyst Siemtcoat® 5000---XX parts, and add it during mixing.
(Attention: Do not mix the crosslinker and catalyst directly, as a dramatic reaction will occur.)
  5.  Continue mixing until the catalyst achieves a uniform distribution throughout the mixture.
For detailed formulation guidance, feel free to contact us.

Bath life

The bath life of all Siemtcoat systems depends on formulation, equipment, mixing process, temperature, and environment. Siemtcoat® SF311MR only does not alter its original bath life, typically lasting about 5 hours at 40℃.

Release force

Release force performance depends on multiple factors.

We measure release force using different substrates and adhesives to define its characteristics. While  the  standard  release  force  measure  could  use standard tape to measure.

Typical release force performance:

Tesa Tape 7475 (23℃): 10 to 20 g/25mm (0.3 m/min peeling speed)

Curing

The curing results of the Siemtcoat system depend primarily on the formulation, substrate quality, curing temperature, and oven efficiency. We obtained the following results:

Temperature Substrate Curing time
120℃ Glassine <15 s

(Curing time is defined as the minimum curing duration without any smear, rub-off, or migration of the release coating layer.)
